About

Built by production people.

Every shoot runs on a dozen disconnected apps and a group chat holding it together. We think a production should live in one place.

Why we built it

Anyone who's run a production knows the drill: the schedule is in one tool, call sheets in another, gear on a spreadsheet, footage in a drive, approvals buried in email, and the client copied on half of it. Every handoff between those tools is a place for something to slip — a wrong call time, a missing release, a version nobody signed off on.

ShootPortal started from a simple idea: the whole production should sit on one shared spine. One project, one crew, one calendar — and a portal for each department that all read and write the same facts. Turn a department on and it's already connected to everything before and after it. No integrations to wire, no re-typing the same day into five apps.

What we believe

Crew shouldn't pay to work

Being on a shoot is free, unlimited, forever. You pay for the tools you turn on, not the size of your team.

One source of truth

A fact lives in one place and every portal reads it. Nothing drifts because nothing is copied.

Pay for what's live

No monthly floor. Switch tools off when a shoot wraps and the charges stop.

Where we're headed

We're building toward a production platform that covers the whole arc — from pitching and hiring, through the shoot, into post and delivery, and eventually getting everyone paid. Hiring and matching and built-in payments are on the way, so the people and the money move as fluidly as the work already does.
